Update...
My PB.Win 9.01 is dated 3/1/09, which I sincerely hope is a 'touched' date.
FWIW, I sent in a NFS to have PBWIN.EXE add a VERSION resource, so those of you who, like me, choose to show "version" in Windows File Explorer for selected folders can actually see the version without starting the program.
Curiously enough, pbEdit.exe and pbres.exe DO have version resources, it's only the compiler itself which doesn't.

Nothing's wrong with checking.
I just read you were surprised at the date, so I suggested an explanation for same.
(With a little side 'dig' at delaying a true maintenance release (bug fixes only) for the sake of adding new features).

Why? Wouldn't you have expected a release to have been beta tested for at least a month?
Especially since (as I read in the email gazette) it is not just bug fixes, but includes new features?
I sure would hope so, since I have no desire to have to install a 9.0.2 to fix 9.0.1.
