Book- 'Learning Basic' by Don Inman?

I'm interested in learning to program and have chosen to learn BASIC.
I don't have any programming experience but I'm not new to computers.

Would the the book 'Learning Basic' by Don Inman be a good choice
as a learning text? I like the fact that it comes with an early
version of Powerbasic. I would like to learn enough basic to
eventually move up to the lastest version of Powerbasic.

Absolutely! Learning Basic is written as a "ground-up" tutorial, which makes it a great way to start learning the art of programming.

It represents excellent value too, since it includes a free copy of PowerBASIC 2.10h!

In my opinion, you can't go wrong...

Yes that book is way better then the PB 3.5 that I just got &
jumping around between 2 books & is not very complete.
It does not help much that I am having trouble with the brand new
commands for array's Virual & Huge type also the fact that I have
never needed to use dynamic array's before either.

You will find that many people program in many different ways I
like to start from scratch & I stay away from subroutines while
many others prefer subroutine & reusing them. The only thing I
reuse is the way I open input & output files. I start a program
with the best new idea's I have & see if I can get it working.

is not one of them. Is that the full title?
