Ok, a quick follow up. It seems that I hadn't loaded EMM386 with the PB 3.5 install. Now I've done that, my Watch window appears to be working ok. Excellent - I do like a happy ending!

Graham

Watch not working?
Greeting all. Here's a perplexing one... if I try to insert an item in the Watch window, my computer locks up.
I'm running Windows 98SE, but booting to the command prompt, so it's not in a DOS window. The item never appears in the Watch window - the computer just completely locks up.
However, if I start PB from within Windows, the problem goes away. The reason I'm wanting to avoid running in a window, is I'm fritzing around with comms and altered timers, etc. The no-watch problem occurs on any program, not just mine. I've tried a fresh install of PB, but still no joy.
Any suggestions? I've also tried booting up from a Win95 rescue disk, but the problem still seems to be there.
Graham.
