  • ASM ! SETxx not supported?

Are the ! SETxx mnemonics supported by the PB/DOS 3.5 inline
assembler? If they are, can somebody please provide me the
syntax for their usage? No matter what I've tried, I keep getting
    a "assmbly syntax error".

    Thank you for any replies.

    Clay,
    I think SET is a '386 instruction, PB3.5 only covers '86.
If you want it you'll have to use !DB..

Thanks, Paul. I had already suspected as much, but wanted to make
sure, before moving to something else.

      Thanks for your reply.

ADDED: OK, I have created a bunch of INCLUDEable BAS files. Each
one has a ! SETxx command, in $INLINE form. The BAS files are
named according to their mnemonic (e.g., "SETA.BAS" for ! SETA, etc.)
The drawback is that I am forced to always use the CL register for the
destination operand. But, hey, as long as I *remember* that it is so in
future programming endeavors, then it will not be a problem.
