  • Arccosine and arcsine

    I'm programming astronomical problems for which I need arccosine and arcsin as well as ATN(2) to determine various angles. I see that PowerBASIC doesn't have these functions. Could someone show me how I might obtain these functions.

    ARC SIN (X) = ATN(x/SQR(1-x*x))

    ARC COS(X) = Pi/2 - ATN(x/SQR(1-x*x))

    Pi = 1.57............

      Sorry, I was wrong.

      Pi = 3.1415926..........

      Pi/2 = 1.57..........
