I get light blue leaving a trail in the blue?

I would have to see a small copy of the code that you are using that demonstartes the problem. Also what version of pbdos you have.

As far as the second comment according to my PowerBASIC Reference
Manual I should be able to use 64 colors for background when using
SCREEN 12. Although I know I can only use 16 of them. This is the
first time I have been told you can only use 0-8 for background.

Sorry, I missed the fact that you were in a graphics screen. You're correct, you may use any of the 16 then. My assumption was that you were in text mode.

    Hi Fred,

I have no idea about the lighter yellow problem. Could it be that your monitor hasn't warmed up yet? Colors do change a bit as the pixels get up to temperature.

Backgrouds can only be from 0 -> 8 unless you do some messing around. In the olden days the backgrounds from 8 -> 15 were signals for BLINK.

If you have v3.n of PBdos then I'd envite you to go get my Nutz n' Boltz libraries from my web site. They're free and will solve a few of your problems with color. www.basicguru.com. I'd also like to mention www.allbasiccode.com as a site where you can find some good code.
