  • PBDOS and Linux?

Is it possible for PB-DOS to work under Linux? I'm mainly thinking about DOSEMU and if it works
under that. Someone else also suggested WiNe. I think WiNe is a Windows-environment emulator for Linux (Redhat or SuSe)?

    Sincerely,

    Paul,

I personally have not had much good luck with Wine and anything I ever tried to run under it usually didn't. The best thing I have found and I am using right at this moment is Win4Lin put out by www.netraverse.com
I have used it with Mandrake 8.2 and I am currently running Lindows 3.0. I have only found 2 programs that didn't run under it and they were both put out by the same company. It does require a version of Windows 98 or ME to be installed which sits as a layer on top of Linux. Its worth checking out if you are running Linux and what the ability to run DOS/Windows programs. It is a little tedious to setup, but if you follow the instructions to a "T", you will have no problems at all.

    Hope this helps,
