Can anyone tell me how to Print in Windows XP ?????
I migrated to XP from 98 and now all my print programs that
worked in 98 do not work....
What prey tell is happening ??????
Well, just going by the code you posted, best I could do would be a guess..
Specifically, tell us
- How you are printing: Writing to a file and copying to PRN? Using a third-party library? Using LPRINT? Opening "LPT1:" and writing to it?
- How you know it is "not working" (versus "taking a long time to start" which has previously been addressed here).

No you're not, your writting to the spooler. XP is based on NT (which
is loosely based on Dec VMS) and shares the NT print mechanism,
which is spooler based (as is it's parent OS, VMS). There is another
active thread that offers some solutions. Give it a look.
