  • PB 3.2 TO PB 3.5 (old libraries how to convert PB/Xtra)

    hi !

two years ago, i purchased pb 3.5 after using pb 3.2 with pb/xtra for a long time.

i really need to use pb 3.5, however i have these problems :-

in all my compiled pb 3.2 programs i include the following files :-

    $include "qpakpro.inc"
    $include "defcnf.inc"
    $include "setcnf.inc"

size and date of above files are:-
    06/10/1996 07:01 pm 605 defcnf.inc
    09/23/1997 04:48 pm 497 qpakpro.inc
    06/10/1996 07:01 pm 1,270 setcnf.inc

i also got these pbl files :-

    06/10/1996 07:01 pm 116,932 pro.pbl
    06/10/1996 07:01 pm 480,791 pro1.pbl
    06/10/1996 07:01 pm 66,182 pro2.pbl

to convert the above files i read at :- http://www.powerbasic.com/support/pb...read.php?t=434
you extract from each pbl using pblib the .obj files and use them to create a new pbl using pblib from pb3.5

my problem is the .inc files how do they work in pb 3.5 and do i have to purchase pb/xtra iii, or will my programs written in pb 3.2 all now compile in pb 3.5 afer i have created a new pro/pro1 and pro2.pbl files.

will someone please help me . . .

    thanks

I wrote that program and all you need to do is extract
the pro libs and then recompile the *.sub files (not the *.obj files
    using 3.5

There are batch files in there that will do this, although
I do not recall the exact names nor the exact operation as this
has been out of distribution for several years and my copies
and source are someplace in my office that was was neatly arranged
by my wife while I was out of town for a week, two weeks ago.
(First think missing was my master of XP Pro for my crashed laptop!

Just send an email to powerbasic support with your name and such and they can help you out.

I recently had to replace everything
except PBDOS because that was on a floppy.

When i do a list using PBLIB i get only .obj files in PRO, however in PRO1 I get .PBU files in Pro2 I get .obj files. . Now I am really confused !! How do i compile any of these files what are the commands.

            Thanks
