I've got plenty, and can get more easily.
    How many do you want?
    ([email protected]) if you're interested.
I collect old pcs, my wife
    says I have too many.
    I say I don't have enough.
Any that could find homes would be great.
I hate to see perfectly working machines get tossed.
I'll rescue anything as long as it's still working.
And even if I can use it for parts I'll take it.
Anyone know of a warehouse I could use to store them all?
Ok, maybe not a warehouse, but you get the idea.

If you happen upon some boxes that you can't find any legal license of MS DOS for, check out FreeDOS from www.freedos.org. It's command.com has a lot of unix-inspired features. It is what DOS should have been back in the day.

I wish you had asked this about a week ago. I threw three 486's
in the dumpster last week because I couldn't even give them away.

    Steve,

If you're in the US then check out garage sales. Last time I was in Florida I saw many, many machines sitting in the driveways for sale. Even some old Commodres.

Try your local PC shop (not necessarily the big "chain" stores).

There's a couple such shops here in Racine who take trade-ins; and of course, computer technology being what it is, "trade-in" is just a euphemism for "discount."

If the merchant can get a couple of bucks for these older units, I'm sure they'd be happy to set up a few screamin' 100-300 Mhz P1's or 486's with MS-DOS installed..

You might also try the classified section of the little 'shopper' newspapers you pick up at the grocery store.. seems there's a lot of folks trying to sell their old computers...
