  • VESA GUI

Using VESA, you can set the screen resolution to 1024x768 with True Color in DOS. Is there a GUI which I can use with this resolution?

Well, almost three years later - now there is.

I developed a GUI in BASM/Assembler for PB programmers. It is a 65k TSR driver named G-GUI.

G-GUI supports all video modes from standard VGA to true color SVGA. It
offers a desktop, windows, buttons, menus, icons, BMP images, check-boxes,
radio buttons, message boxes, list boxes, scroll bars, progress bars,
edit boxes, multi-line edit boxes, text boxes, different fonts and cursors.

It is free for personal use. Please download the current version from:
    www.georgpotthast.de/g-gui

The file includes samples, fonts, icons and images and therefore is much
bigger than 65k, in fact the zip file is 1,7 megabytes.

I hope some users of PB find time to take a look at it.

    Georg Potthast
