  • Gateway MX-6214 laptop not permitting full DOS Screen

    Greetings ...

A Gateway MX-6214 laptop is not permitting a full screen for DOS applications.

I've adjusted all known settings, but it keeps reverting to a window, or auto-minimizes itself, rather than full screen.
This is especially frustating because some PB-DOS apps use screen 12.

    Suggestions?

Lots of non-CRT displays do that, laptop or not.

      Greetings ...

Hmmm. My Regular PC is hooked to an HP vs-17 monitor, which accepts full-screen DOS just fine.

Do not yet have Console Compiler - how are the latest monitors treating that in full-screen?

Assuming your Gateway has an external monitor port, try hooking
your HP monitor up and see what happens.

Saw that in a PDS 7.1 program.
It was solved by WIDTH 80,25

            Greetings ...

Wasn't aware until I explored the GATEWAY's Start Menu that a COMMAND PROMPT Link existed.

Everything works great under it - WHEW!
