  • Vista using full screen mode

On the options tab for the shortcut to a DOS program checked full screen.
Can't get to work using Windows Vista RC 1 Build 5600.
Anyone tried Vista with DOS programs?

    Note:
msimn.exe (Outlook Express) has been replaced by winmail.exe

Honestly I think getting the kind of MS-DOS support you need in Windows is going to get more and more difficult. Really DOS is now in the realm of a legacy system that's best experienced in emulation, rather than through partial virtual machine support in windows. Enter dosbox. It's really the best way to run DOS under Windows or any other OS or platform. I don't know if it does true full-screen mode, but I know it emulates the VGA bios (and all the text modes) and can run with the window zoomed, which is almost the same. Food for thought anyway.

Is full screen supported by Vista in the final release?

Got an email from Microsoft about this issue.
They asked me to go to this link for Vista.
If unresolved they gave me an email address for the managers at Microsoft.
        Investigating the link below.
