Does Windows 95/98 handle file handles the same way
that DOS does on the server? I have a Btrieve
application that needs about 30 files handles
so the maximum terminals would be 8 x 30 = 240.
Lantastic has a way to allocate 5200 handles by
bypassing CONFIG.SYS. Is it possible or necessary
to allocate more than 255 handles on a a Windows 95/98
network? I know that files can be closed to free
handles, but the system has run extremely fast
and reliable for many years without closing them.
