I have atach as many as 6 printers to a printer server. 4 parial and 2 serial. Using 2f8/4, 3f8/3, and can't remimber the parial address but the IRQ where 5,7,10,11. I used a uart card I bout for $10 and that saported the 2 parial porst and used the standard 2 serial and 1 parial port and had an extra printer port card in the shop. Worked fine.

Switchboxes (A/B boxes) are a pain, smart-switchers are a more
expensive pain. Best way is to add a 2nd printer port (LPT2) via
an ISA bus card. Configure it via its jumpers to use a
different port I/O address and IRQ (LPT1 generally at 378H, IRQ 7)
They're about $11 and available anywhere.
