I've never used those routines on NT, so I'm not the best person to answer this, but the following link contains some references and possibly code for using LFN's in NT from DOS.

Good luck!

Guest repliedLance,
Thanks for the recomendation. I used the following http://www.powerbasic.com/files/pub/pbdos/library/
to download & try the PBFLN322.zip. It works fine for Win 9X.
I already have a kludgy routine I wrote myself which works
under Win 9X, but does not work under NT. The freeware
routines do not have any effect on long directory names/
file names when running under NT. Can you help me there?

a search for "lfn" provides some useful threads for you:

and also don't overlook the files section of the powerbasic web site: http://www.powerbasic.com/files/pub/pbdos/library/

long file names
Any nicely formatted PB/DOS SUB or FUNCTION available that
performs a conversion between long filenames/directories and 8.3
used by DOS?
