  • Black f/g on white b/g in Graphic Screen 12

I create images in Graphic Screen 12 using DRAW and LINE - the intent is to get this foreground detail to be black upon a white background. Try as I might, I cannot get the details to be in black - it always comes out as a dreary blue.

This surely must be quite straightforward - but I cannot find a way to achieve this. Any suggestions would be gratefully received??

Please show relevant SCREEN, PALETTE and COLOR statements in use ( All affect colors).

      Commands used

      Thank you for your rsponse.

      These statements are used:
      SCREEN 12
      COLOR 0,63
and within the DRAW images I prefix them with C0

I have not used PALETTE - I tried some unsuccessful combinations, but despite reading the manual I am afraid that I don't really understand this command.

I don't understand it either; I never used SCREEN 12 or DRAW in my life.

But looking at the help file I knew those who DO know these things would ask about the SCREEN, PALETTE and COLOR statements so I thought I'd beat the rush.

Perhaps you can construct a small compilable program demonstrating the problem and post it here?

          Example program

          Hi Michael

          I append a sample program.

          Initially:
          1. the syntax for indicating colour for CIRCLE and LINE commands are at the end of the statements - in this example, BLUE circles and RED lines
          2. the DRAW uses an image Z6$ which commences with C13 to indicate LIGHT MAGENTA

I would like to define any of those lines, circles and images to be in BLACK.

          Thanks for your trouble

          Chester

            Palette change

            Code:
            screen 12
            PALETTE 1,0
            COLOR 0,63

            z6$ = "c13 bl7bue3d12l1u12g2br4d1e3d12l1u12g2"
            z6$ = z6$ + "br4d1e3d10g1u11g2br4r2d7g6l1e6u6l1bd10f2l1h2"

            circle (320,240), 236, 1
            circle (320,240), 237, 1
            circle (320,240), 200, 1
            circle (320,240), 199, 1

            DRAW z6$

            LINE (200,255)-(440,255),4
            LINE (200,256)-(440,256),4
            LINE (200,257)-(440,257),4
