  • Accessing the CLIPBOARD w/i PowerBasic

I need to be able to access what's in the Clipboard from within
a PowerBasic program. I haven't written anything in PowerBasic
in a long time so it may take an assembler rountine to do the
job. Anyone have the expertise to do this? Guess I'll have to
update my old PowerBasic 3.0 to 3.5. Thanks very much.

No necessarily, although 3.5 does offer a lot of features that 3.0 does not.

Anyway, please check the code at http://www.basicguru.com/files/abc/abc9703/pbwinclp.bas

Is it text? If so, your PB/DOS program could use my company's DOSBox product to access the clipboard. A free version is available for download...

Haven't been able to download the free version of DOSBox.
If I click the top of the page DOWNLOAD (after reading the
License Agreement)I end up at the Lic. Agrmt again. If I
click on the Download Shareware Version at the bottom of the
page I get a java error. Stan Kelley

I'll look into that right away, but I am not the office Java guru so it may not be fixed until Monday. So in the meantime, if you'll send your email address to support @perfectsync.com I will email a copy DOSBox to you. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Following up... I just realized that I forgot to post a message here when the DOSBox download problem was fixed several days ago.

Anybody that wants to download the Shareware version of DOSBox can now do so.
