  • Runtime Error 200

Does anyone know anything about a Runtime Error 200 -

I've written a dos copy program which simply takes the file(s)
to be copied and the directory to output from the command line.

Everything has been working fine for the last year or so, until
last week where 10 or so of my clients have been reporting this
    error - Runtime Error 200 @ 0056:0091 - I simply cannot find anything
wrong in my code or anything different in their directory structure
    to cause this problem.

I'm at the point of pulling my hair out, so if anyone has any ideas
    I would be extremely grateful!!

There is no error 200. Odds are about infinite that there is something
in your program that is overwriting the error code memory location.
So why is it showing up now? Perhaps some change in your clients' PC
environment: the OS, network, file names or file sizes. Perhaps not.
Time to crank up those debugging options and do some digging!

Absolutely. First thing to do is add $ERROR ALL ON to the code and try again, watching carefully for array access beyond boundaries.

Really, it' s so strange that these errors show up only now, after 1 year of working, and this on 10 PCs. If i was in your shoes i' d also try to set the system date of some of these 10 PCs back enough and see whether these incredible errors continue.

Pardon me for asking a (probably) obvious question, but have you checked the source code for a line that says...

          Code:
          ERROR 200
          -- Eric
