  • PB/VISION & DBF

    Hello to all:

I am using PB/VISION to manage a file DBF.
Does somebody know How can I add a blank register, for then to be able to edit it?
Something like an APPEND BLANK in the old FOX.

    Thank you!!

    Hi

You must understand that the command APPEND is hardcoded into xbase languages so that you simply tell the interpreter what to do without having to worry about writing any code that does the actual work. With PB Vision you will have to write you own routine to fill the UDT that refers to your record in the dbf file, write it to disk, read in your data from stdin (kybd or user) and if happy write it to disk. That is presuming you do want a blank record..

You can write your own function to APPEND BLANK.
