Downloading font to dotmatrix

If memory serves, I downloaded the entire ESC/P printer-language document (in PDF form) from the following site:

Some years ago, I acquired a very nice manual from Epson which
contained all the ESC-P commands, FREE!
Unlike H-P, who wanted serious money for theirs. So it may be
worth trying Epson.

Thank you Lance. Powerbasic is most often the last resort. Yes - the manuals have it but try to get a manual....I want to manipulate the rom characters so bitmapped graphics is not what I am after.

there is code in this forum for bit-mapped print mode (ie, for printing graphics screens) - see

however, i can't locate any code for "download characters" for epson printers. my old star sg10 printer manual describes the process pretty well (lots of pages). basically, it works quite similarly to bit-mapped printing with epson printers.

possibly this could be a good time to use www.dogpile.com or www.google.com ?

Has anyone a source or link to information about downloading fonts to Pansonic (EPSON) dot matrix printers? I remember somewhere seeing a BASIC programme (GWBASIC) for this but I cannot remember where.
