screen capture in Windows XP

I am trying to capture a dos screen in Windows XP. In Windows
95, 98 this was easy, all I had to do was to a alt-enter and then
the dos application would appear within a Windows window and then
I could copy and paste the dos image into Paint. Windows
XP somehow runs the application in full screen mode and every
time I try to alt-enter or even run the code at the start using
cmd command, the application is fully minimized or maximized and
never appears within a Windows window. Any suggestions.. Dean
