<chuckle> I have no idea where to begin with multiport boards.
Hmmmm...I guess I'll go and check my licensed DWDOOR31...maybe
that library supports them. If it does, I'll just code two versions
    of the programs.

    Regards,

If they have a multi-port serial card, that brings new adventures to the table...

    Ron,

Thanks for your reply. The doors/utils I've already written for
the TriBBS BBS (and one generic BBS one) already make use of the
FOSSIL interrupt. But, it's the eventuality of when the user's
BBS does NOT use a FOSSIL, yet still has nodes that go above
port 4, that my doors & utils have to handle. As it is now,
they'll only go up to the native port 4 supported by PB/DOS 3.5.
I can't imagine a BBS that has nodes with ports above 4 NOT using
a FOSSIL, and maybe it simply is NOT done? If it isn't, then I
need not worry about it any longer.

At any rate, I'll check into those leads you gave me.

    Thanks, once again.

    Cordially,

int14h (fossil driver) will work. X00/BNU.

Also, several serial libraries are out there. "Willies" (Texas) had one I tried before. I think it is the last one PCBoard used. I have no idea if he still does DOS stuff.

I doubt Crescent's pdqcomm (DOS) ever evolved beyond a couple or 4 port support support. Search for "Dave Cleary". he might have done something on his own.

    CommPorts above Port 4?

Is there ANY way to get PB/DOS 3.5 to be able to use comm
functions with commports above port 4?

    Thanks in advance.
