  • PowerBASIC problem under Windows XP

    Hi
Recently I upgraded my operating system from Windows 98 to Windows
XP as a result it now loads PowerBASIC very slowly using my old
PowerBASIC 2.1 system. I reloaded PowerBASIC 3.2 and it just worked
once immediate after loading it. Since then it has gone back to slowly
load PowerBASIC using 2.1 version. Is there anyway I can get the
system to recognize the 3.2 version and load faster?

This sounds like a simple Windows XP configuration issue.

Right-click the shortcut you use to start it, choose Properties, then on the MISC tab, adjust the IDLE SENSITIVITY more toward the HIGH end of the scale. Click Ok.

If you are not using a short-cut, right click on PB.EXE and choose Properties, adjust the idle sensitivity, etc.

While you are at it, disable QUICK EDIT (usually found on the same tab) and the mouse will be able to be used within the IDE too.

      Hi
I tried the second method however I couldn't find any IDLE
SENSITIVITY meter. All I could see was GENERAL, SHARING and CUSTONIZE.
