  • Error in DOS-IDE?

There is an error in the IDE of PBDOS, I've noticed since version 3.1. If one uses CTRL+INS and SHIFT+INS to copy and paste blocks, sometimes the editor messes the text. It seems to happen, if the text is about 15kB in size. When the error occurs, some text from the last lines of the source code is lost. As a workaround i paste some dummy lines with spaces at the end of the source code. The error appears on different computers with different operating systems.

Is here anyone, who knows this issue?

Yes, I had this problem too when pasting text in certain special circumstances. And I remember that it ruined quite some source files.

I reported the problem to Lance, together with a sample source, and in his reply he said he could reproduce the bug and that it would be fixed in a future version (but I've been waiting for this version for over 2 years now)...

Until then, I'd advise you to do your major editing in another editor, such as UltraEdit which also supports syntax-highlighting for PB...

JellyFish Pro Editor also handles syntax highlighting for
      PB-DOS files.
