  • Some PB/win 101

I've got my little toe in programming in PB/win and have a
    question:

Is there any way for a MSGBOX to pop-up, give you whatever info
is in the box and then have it automatically go bye-bye after
    three or four seconds?

    Substitute...workaround???

    With MSGBOX? No.

But this has come up before. Do a find on "splash [screen]" and you'll find numerous examples how to accomplish this effect.

      Mel,
check out the skelton.bas example that comes with PBWin in the PBWin/Samples/SDK/Skeleton folder.
What you're asking for is done ther with the "About" box.

      Paul.

armed with pb and a 'can-do' attitude just about anything can be done!
here's code for a timed message box.

if you want advice on whether it should be done?
well i would leave that to your best judgment

Dave, that's exactly what I am looking for. Thank you.
