looks that even microsoft understood such obvious items that it's better to return to old times and do not use registry for non-system app.

To all,

Speed wise, is there any advantage to putting an app setting
in the registry and then retrieving it at run time (with an
API call) as opposed to storing it as a plain file record and
reading it at run time ?
