In the recent topic of GUI tools, one of the wishes many people had for PB was to add static linking. Given that Win 2K and Win98 (SE?) now support "Private DLLs", where a specific .EXE is bound to a specific DLL in the same directory, does this eliminate the need for static linking, as MS claims? Or are there other advantages to static linking that go beyond the DLL Hell issue?
