  • To Our PB Administrators

I know that this is probably not the correct forum call, but I just wanted to take time out to thank Dave, Lance and Tom. You guys have made learning Windows, PB and YES even some "C" along the way a pleasure. I have not found a supported forum that responds like this one. Bob Zale is to be commended for having these guys on staff.

I know that we "Rookies" can be a pain, but your patience has taught me a lot more than you'll ever know. Thanks again.

        I will second that!!

Without the source examples, questions posted, answers posted, recommendations, advice, links etc etc etc, I may not have held the interest in PB or would have struggled through book after book...

You guys make this product VERY easy to use...and not just easy, but a pleasure to use it.
It's great when I can have someone show me a VB app, rewrite it at a TENTH of the size in PB, and 20 times faster....it turns a LOT of heads...

          The Best in the West!!!!

I am only a part time programming enthusiast and I literally had
anxiety attacks trying to learn the win32 api using VC++.
I got relief the first 2 weeks after I purchased PBDLL and
plenty of medication from the GREAT support here.

Kudo's to all you people at PowerBasic and all you Guru's who
took time out to help me learn. It's one year later and I feel
great!!! (for a young fella that is)

Many thanks, and if I could ever return the favor, just ask!

          Best regards,

But of course, this is THE resource, I am here about three
times a day with good reason. Let me also thank all the peer
support posters who help me maintain my wonder and joy in this
profession I chose so many years ago. Just when I am suffering
a bit of burnout I come across a neat piece of code and re-
member why I enjoy this stuff so! Thanks to all.

              You said it Chuck!
About the time i get burned out and want to start something new I just pop up here and see all sorts of neath things, which gets me thinking along other paths or allows me ot fix code on a current project that I may be held up on....

When I get bored at work or need a break, just stop by PB's BBS and take a look around, in fact some of the C++ engineers have taken an interest from work as well, wouldn't be suprised to see some of them show up here.

Speaking of work, I have some HLLAPI code I will be posting hopefully tonight, for anyone that connects via 3270 to a host, this is IBM, WRQ, Attachmate compatable code...You can basically screen scrape the session and put that data into any useable format/GUI that you want...

Yes, the guru's at PB deserve a great pat-on-the-back!

We the users tend to dish-it-out quite often, but you guys
attempt to make since of it and provide an answer that everyone
can benefit from. Many sites are charging for these services!

I also want to thank many of the 3rd party guru's that
frequently visit this site, and also, Semen, John Huguley,
Patrice, SQL-Tools, EZGUI and others (whose names I can't
                remember).

You guys provide a service not only to us, but to the whole
PowerBasic community as well, and adds a special touch to this
site that otherwise would be missing. Someday, in the future,
maybe we can have a PowerBasic Convention and honor many of
these talented people who deserve to be reconized for their
                hard efforts!

                Thanks

Do not blush, Power Basic guys but all what's said here is true.
I agree with the other writers.

                    Thanks Guys!

Even though I am no longer working for PowerBASIC, Inc. I will continue to support PowerBASIC and promote it.

Apart from agreeing wholeheartedly to the general acclaim, I'd also like to mention that not only do I get the answers I need, but I get them fast. In fact, I won't be too surprised if one of these days I find that Lance has actually answered my question before I got around to posting it...

                        Thanks, guys!!
