  • Floating point resolution in win2k

I remember a while back there was a blurb about the floating point resolution under windows9x being initialized to 54bits by default. Does anybody know if this is also the case with Windows 2000 (and any variants there of)...

    Cheers!

this behavior still exists in the release version of windows 2000.

future editions of pb/cc and pb/dll are expected to build this code into your applications automatically, so your own source code will not need to include it.

in the mean time, if you need to switch the fpu into the full 80-bit precision mode *now*, be sure to check out http://www.powerbasic.com/support/pb...hread.php?t=45
