Pls, explain the reasons, why do you name your code "fast".
In replacement for Line Input I saw not ordinary idea.
But here I see classic way. Perhaps, I lost something ?

See the source code section.
Look at "WinLIFT fast directory search".

The code example needs my SKENGINE.DLL in order to work.
However it could be easily adapted to perform what you are asking for, and could be easily translated as well.

Is there an API call that can search all local drives for a given mask or filename?

Obviously Windows calls something when you use the find program on the start menu, but is it coded via the program or called via the api?
