  • RAS and Windows 2000

I have been using RAS API successfully with Windows 95 and
    > Windows 98. Unfortunately, it seems to have a problem with Windows 2000.

RAS functions works correctly until it encounters an error (for example,no dial tone). After this first error, all subsequent attempts to use the RAS generate an error.

Is someone got this error also?

On my PC (Win2000 Pro Rus, dial-up) Don Dickinson's wrapper works fine in such situations.

Did you make the call to rashangup ?

Even if the connection failed the call to rashangup still had to be made. Also check out :

You can find examples about ras status in win2000 over there.

Semen, is it working fine after an error (like no dial tone)??

Yes Erwin, same if I make a RasHaugup the connection seems locked!

And more, I can't go in the properties of the connection or openning this one by the NetWork places in Win2K.

I think, that if to disconnect telephone cable, there is no dial-tone
Another question - I made correct experiment or not.
          I tested Don's Pb/CC rastest1.exe.
You can select connection id and then this program connects you with Internet.
Under file manager, I started rastest1.exe first time.
          Connection was established.
Then I disconnected a cable and ran program again.
          Connection was not established (clear).
          Connected modem with telephone line.
Started rastest1.exe. Connection was established again w/o problems.

I had tested the Don DLL and it doesn't returned any error...

            I cannot explain that.

I will need to see what he does and if my bit alignment of my UDT is the same as his UDT.

But why it do that just under Win2K!? The question stay...

            Thank Semen for the confirmation!
