Does JazzAge work on any OCX?
Has anyone used it successfully with
      Grids by 3rd party vendors?
      Are there any limitations?

        mike..

per a recent thread, i made a comment that it seems that all ocx's
were not created equal. philippe (jazzage) responded that jacomp
supported dual interface ocx's which are more the rule than the
exception these days. of the thousands of dollars of "shelf-ware"
ocx's that i bought in the vb heyday about 50% will work with the
jazzage product. i posted some code a while back. it uses the
flexgrid that comes with vb but i also own the "full" version from
        videosoft which works too.

Most, if not all, recent OCXs (including those created with VB)
expose their functionalities through 'dual interfaces',
therefore accessible at the cost of a function pointer call
instead of a message envoice as with 'old-style' controls/custom
controls , which is much faster.

JA COM/PB 2.0, adding full support for OCXs to PB/DLL, is available
for open beta testing. Please feel free to send me an email
          if you are interested.
