call the sndPlaySound() API, or use the mciSendString() API. A search of the BBS will reveal the technique in many examples.

I don't understand what you mean by "and on a DOS box" though.

I'd like to know how to play WAV files, I've seen a source code
posted here but it displays a COPYRIGHT and on a DOS box, is there
a PLAIN way to do it?
