Number of Com Ports

How many COM ports will PowerBasic support? I'm looking at installing a multi-port serial card which wold give me up to 8 serial ports. Will PB support a COM8: ?

As long as your comm ports are supported by Windows, you will have no trouble using them with your PowerBASIC Windows compilers. There is no inherent limitation in the number. As Edwin notes, there's a Windows flaky with the names of comm ports numbered COM10 and later, but there's a work-around. See the FAQ.
