11 years have passed since this topic was started I'd say that Adobe PDF is probably as stable and mature as it's ever likely to get.

Can we have PDF documentation files now please as I'd love to convert the PDF to run on my Kindle so I always have a copy to hand.

Do a goodle search on CHM to PDF converter and you can make the PDF yourself. Of course for real indexing and stuff, it won't do, but why need a PDF if you arlredy have the help in CHM format. Back when this topic started, the help was not in a CHM file.
