Telephony API (TAPI)

Has anyone tried doing any TAPI communication with a modem in PB?
I've just been asked to write a program that can dial a voice modem
and leave a verbal message on an answering machine. So I'm just starting
to read up on TAPI. But if anyone has programming examples in PB, I'd
sure appreciate seeing them.

In case anyone is interested in doing TAPI programming, I did find a VB TAPI source code demo that is fully self contained, i.e. does not require any funky controls or anything. Its available at http://www.shrinkwrapvb.com/vbtapi.htm

still trying to learn about tapi, but i did learn that to talk to
a modem i don't need to even know its command language. for anyone
