API Equivelant of DIR$ ?

I know how to use the API to open, read and write to files but if I want to use it to recurse files in a given directory, does anyone know the name of the API(s) to use. Maybe like an "EnumFiles" or something.

just a name is enough so I can go off and look it up and see how it works. The PB (DIR$) won't work for what I want to do.
