Tooltip example doesn't work on my pc...

hi all,
the souce code forum contains an example for creating tooltiptexts: http://www.powerbasic.com/support/pb...ad.php?t=22717
i tried it but it doesn't work on my windows95-pc. the dialog with
the 4 buttons show, but when i move the mouse pointer over the
buttons, no tooltip texts appear...
can anybody help...?

i also would like to add this to the "ddt wishlist": a command to
create tooltiptexts. something like this:
control add tooltip hdlg&, ctrl&, text$

Tested and it works fine in win98. Have you made sure the paths
are okay? Could be your version of COMCTL32.DLL doesn't support
some commands. If not already done, install MS Internet Explorer
version 4 or later, to get updated COMCTL32, etc. That usually
fixes many problems in Windows95, since MS no longer cares to make
things backwards compatible (tip - they are dropping support for
Win95 next year, so maybe time to upgrade..

Paths seem to be ok. ComCtl32.dll is file version 5.81 and product
version 5.50.4522.1800, so should be ok. I guess it will be
something else in Win95 that's causing the problem...
