  • Game Programming need advise

    ..I am looking to playing around with
    game programming and I found and language
    that might make it fun and easy.
    ..Does anyone have any experience with
    'DARK-BASIC' game programming language?
    If so, what do you think of it?
    ..
    For anyone interested the link is:

    Marty;

    I have the DarkBASIC language, and it is quite good although it imposes some limitations, as in certain types of games.

    I found the resulting EXE size not bad for a game, I didn't really have time to write a full game in it but I messed with the (numerous) demos and found it interesting.

    Regards,

        Martin,

        If you are looking for a tool to build a 3D game without C++, I'd suggest 3D Game Studio at http://www.conitec.net. It is similar to the Quake II engine with a licensing fee between $80 and $1200.

        If you want to use C++, check out http://www.genesis3d.com.

            Hi Martin, did you try going over to www.blitzbasic.com? It looks
            promising! I downloaded the demo and been playing around with it the
            last week or so.
