The option for attachments is really useful for me. Thanks!
One quirk I notice...
If I'm not already logged in to the board, and when I click an attachment, then after logging in, the login acknowledgement displays perpetually. Clicking the redirection option asserts my browser's download manager again.
I'm using SeaMonkey.
Just a little wierd.

I love it
I have to love how you guys have been trying to achieve the delicate balance of (showing Code vs, the potential abuse).
The one added effect is that you guys are constantly in the rooms (even if not showing) and can tell who is blatently spamming and who is just making an honest mistake.
It will go a LONNNNG way for people that feel they can not strip down code to demo a problem though (bad part, code not shown....good part, someone can show results when they do not know how to strip down to some simple example)
ok so the last point could be a "6 one way, Half a dozen the other" and forget the "Baker's Dozen"
This will DEFINITELY be a step in the right direction I think

thanks STEVE and PB for working hard on our needs.
i know things which involve security take a lot to time and i do appreciate the time spent.
i hope this helps improve communication and learning and increases the PB users.
this is only one measure of many where PB is working hard to satisfy the PB customers and future customers.
if my code does not help my competition , i always try to share my code and it is easier for others to test code quickly.
this also eases the burden of me having to have a web server for access and accessing my web server to place updated code.
i am a firm believer in that where a person can see a program in action first creates a motivation to go the further steps needed in whatever direction that person wants to go for filling his needs.

This only occurs with gif images, which have been enabled for some time now. I am not going to go into how this is done or how it is prevented, only to say that security measures are in place.

Or fake images that contain embeded .php scripts that may trash your server?
Your much more trusting of internet users then I am. I don't think any PB members would do something like this but someone with too much time on their hands could join, post a script, run it and unsubscribe.

Attachments are now allowed!
You are now allowed to upload attachments, which are relevant to the thread or post. When making a post you will see a Manage Attachments button that will allow you to upload several attachments per post. If there is an attachment file type not supported, let me know and upload a zip file instead.
Please note, any abuse of this feature will result in an immediate removal of the offending file and a possibly suspension. The admin and PowerBASIC Inc. are not responsible for any of the files hosted on the forums. You download any attachments at your own risk.
