Can't Download v9.0!

I received my new serial number for version 9, but when I try to download it says the maximum download has been reached. I've sent an email saying this, but I'd guess your swamped with orders for the new version. Can anyone there at PowerBasic help with this? Thanks.

You are allowed to download three times before it is disabled. If you have a download accelerator active then it will eat up your three download slots immediately. You will have to wait until PB responds to your email.

This happened to me because I didn't use the number they sent me to download, I used the number I already had for PB8. So their site assumed I wanted PB8 instead. I had downloads left and it sent that. If I didn't have downloads left for 8 it wouldn't have sent anything.

PB's phone support helped me figure out I was using the wrong serial number and it sent me the right one.

IF you used an accelator to download, you certainly missed all of the warnings on getting to the download. One misleading item on the warning says if you don't know what a accelerator is, you don't have one. I've seen others use accelators and not know they were using one.. they thought that it was either a better one than the default or thought it was the default for their browser.

I think people should be told if they do not have the RUN SAVE CANCEL window, that it probably is an accelerator. Or show a sample of what the normal window is.
