Try treating the file/folder names as Unicode text. You may also have to use the API instead of the new DISPLAY BROWSE

On my computer, foreign characters used in filenames such as Chinese will appear in Windows folders properly, however in folders in PB, these same filenames and the characters are no longer readable. Is there some way to get foreign characters to show properly...
