    Standalone Graphics pkg recommendation

I need to do some minor changes on Jpegs and Gif's like resizing etc without getting the fuzzy or jagged problems. What is the best priced software you've found free or nearly free.

I have a Jpg logo that needs to hold it's resolution clarity and be about 25% smaller than it is to customize a website for a new customer. It also needs to be converted into a Gif. That GDIplus by Patrice right?

Photocomposer may be what I'm looking for. It's not to use in a PB program but to just modify an existing website's graphics enough to personalize it.

I'll need to load the given jpg, capture a portion of it, shrink to match the existing container image all without losing clarity. Windows Paint let me shrink but quality really was impacted.

I know nothing about graphics and aspects and retaining quality etc.

              Thanks JC and Marco,
Both seem to fit the bill. Paint.NET is simpler to use for me.

No, Microsoft - but M. Terrier is rather good with it! There are also quite a few examples in the forums.

In fact the best PB GDIPlus resource known to man (this one) is Jose Roca's, here or hereabouts

And don't forget my reference guide, that documents each and every one GDI+ Flat API functions:

Users of PB9 and my new include files can find hundreds of examples here:
