Is ZLib.dll compatible with Japanese/Chinese OS? (ie. unicode)

    You also might want to look at the Winamp guys NSIS installer,
    Its freeware, comes with source and uses ZLIB.
    Just a thought.

    It would probably be easiest to find out from the zlib site: http://www.gzip.org/zlib/
    The C source code is available there, also. Considering that it's available
    for a wide variety of systems, odds are that it expects a standard 8-bit
    ASCII-flavored character set. How much of a hassle this would be to change,
    who knows...

    Is ZLib compatible with Japanese/Chinese OS? my ZLib routines appear to be failing on the aforementioned operating systems (and only those systems), so im wondering if its a unicode issue? Does anyone know? or could somebody in Japan (Paul?) verify this please?
