  • Tempreture and Fan

    Hi people,
Any any idea how to read the tempreture, fan speed and those things from the bios.
My bios supports that and I can see it, I have seen some utilities as well
which does this kind of hardware monitoring. So there has to be some API or library available.

Any idea or point in the right direction please...

    Thank You

I was about to ask that same question about a week ago, but the actual best program out there is freeware, called "Mother board Monitor" and, well, you can't beat it!

I believe it's open source, might not hurt to take a look at it and see if that can help you..

No it is not an open source, It allows a shared memory from where you can read the data.

But I still want to know how it works. Please anybody????

Hi, It seems to me what your looking for is in the power
monitoring API (can't remember the name) but it allows access
to the SMBus. It's on the MSDN CD. Hope this helps.
