  • macro problem 9.01

    In CommCtrl.inc is the line:

    END MACRO = 0

This now brings up error 434. The help file shows this is a valid statement to a Macro Function.

I did but did not see this one when I searched HISTORY for MACRO.

        End Macro = 0

The first time I started PB/Win 9.01 I had the same problem.
Then I made %USEMACROS = 1 in the start of the program a comment line.
After that the program did run normally.

Then I tried to run other programs with the same starting lines and these
are running normally although %USEMACROS = 1 is not a commend line.

Can it be that the problem did solve itself ?????

There is a new COMMCTRL.INC file that can be downloaded from http://www.powerbasic.com/support/pb...ad.php?t=40052. Replace your existing COMMCTRL.INC with this new one and this will resolve this issue. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may of caused our valued customers.
          Sincerely,

            No.

There was obviously an error in the 9.0.0 compiler which did not detect the incorrect use of the particular MACRO syntax.

It's also pretty obvious no one ever noticed; or if they did notice, did not bother to report it.
