    Windows Task Manager > Processes tab > View menu > Select Columns > check Thread Count > Ok.

    Detecting a Thread Outside an Application

    When I start a thread, is there any way outside the application to know the thread has started? Any tool or utility that would detect the presence of the extra thread?
