  • Recommend SBC

I want to do some embedded prototype development using PBWin9.x. Can anybody suggest a particular SBC they like. Requirements are minimal- 4-6 USB, some standard video and a keyboard would do it. I want to run XP. Looking for something cheaper than the $1k+ units I've looked at. Or any other scheme that lets me use the compiler I know and love.

    Food for thought

I don't know your SBC size requirements, but I, too, use an SBC-like all-in-one solution with one of our products. It's a Mini-ITX motherboard with a dual-core Atom 330 processor, nVidia 9400M video (DVI, HDMI, VGA), ethernet and 802.11, etc. It's about $200 including power supply. Just add up to 4GB RAM, video and storage and you're set to go. I have found this system more than capable for daily tasks, programming and even modest graphics work.

Just checked and it's $185 right now.

Anyhow, I don't know if that helps...
