  • A question for the network folks.

Somewhere a bit over 20 years ago I had a UDP client and server that worked fine for what I need, the ability to pass strings from the caller to the called. Once I have the string I know how to process it but sad to say I lost the code with a failed SCSI in about 1999 and have never got around to doing another one. The help file is about as useful as a hip pocket in a singlet and I wondered if anyone here has done anything even vaguely similar.

What I am after is the architecture of the app(s) so I know what to develop from, any help here would be appreciated.

    Hi Steve,

There are examples of UDP client/server that come with the compilers. Is that not what you are wanting to do?

Thanks Michael, I will have to see if I can find it as my installation dates from about 2012.

If not on your system, maybe this as a starting point. https://forum.powerbasic.com/forum/a...communications

I found it buried in an archive, thanks for the tip.
